Forgotten Residents

The opening for this exhibit is from June 1st - June 27th of 2009

My current inspiration is the shadows, the silence, the peeling paint 
of the Poorhouse in Angelica. It kept me coming back for more, each 
time modifying the internal landscapes, and capturing a story being 
whispered in my ear. I have started to put subjects into my images, 
just another way of telling that story that I am hearing. I’m trying
 to imagine what the people of the Poorhouse felt and looked like back in 
the 1920s and 1930s when it was an insane asylum. I’m also trying to 
add in a gothic twist to this project.
